Banek's have Seoul

South Korea
("Banek's have Seoul" play-on-words goes to Lorraine, she is the brains behind the fabulous title).
Slow boat to Incheon, the port city outside of Seoul.
Distance traveled via boat = 200 miles, time traveled = 15 hours (?!).
5 bunks to a room, one bathroom, one small table.  The school paid extra for a room the alternative is a large room with side-by-side laying spaces.

So free.
Seoul at night.
At times......totally.
Lise making friends at one of the schools we visitied.
We visited 3 Adventist schools on our adventure, 2 elementary and 1 high school.  At each school we had tea with the principal and learned about the demographics of the school.
Mya holding a snake in one of the school's creationist museums.
We all signed the welcome book at one of the schools.

Mini-Baneks playing the Buk drum, the traditional Korean drum, at one of the schools.
Mya and the Buk.
The beautiful garden that one of the schools created to beautify the back of the school.

The EBIS crew: Leif, me, Caroline, B5, B4, B3, ArCasia, Richard, and Stephanie.
Landscape at the Adventist high school.
Luka had a Justin Beiber like reaction at the school. Screaming girls, cell phone pictures, mass hysteria.  It was epic.
"We love you!" Picture: cool-man Luka who loved every minute.

Loved how environmental and healthy Seoul was.
Changdeokgung Palace, Seoul.

YTN Seoul tower.

All structures at this palace were built intentionally short so that everyone has to bow to enter.  This is a way for all to be humbled and equalized.
Kimchi barrels.
Traditional "luck" game.  Get the stick in the narrow barrel = good luck.
Chinese wedding (see "Chinese Weddings" post).
Having a great day.
We love Seoul!
The War Museum of Korea - AMAZING!
Communist leaders: Mao, Kim II Sung, Stalin.
Awaiting an intense 4-D interactive movie about the Korean war.
The original South Korean flag that was lifted at the end of the war.
Seoul.
At the base of the Seoul tower.
Love locks left at the base of the Seoul tower.

City smog.
Serious problem in Asia.
Seoul tower.
Mini-Baneks raced us down the hill and were politely waiting for us at the bottom.

Itaewon antique shopping street.
Somesort of ice cream treat.  The outside tasted like an ice cream cone.

Insadong, the international walking street in Seoul.

Mind blown.
Sidekick.
Sweet moment.

Random street.  S. Korea is 70% mountain so the infrasture is built along the hills creating a beautiful landscape of hills and valleys.
Placed my moms reusable cup in the "Korean Zone" at the local Starbucks.  This cup has now traveled to three countries.
Lunch at Insadong.
Cutie.
Tommy, a former student at one of our schools, and B5.
Tommy's super tricked out ride.
Back to Dandong.
Reflection.
